High-end cosmetic packaging applications – airless pump bottles
Outer bottle/body: Carries the overall structure and aesthetic design, made of high-quality plastic (such as AS, ABS, PMMA acrylic).
Inner liner: Typically a soft plastic pouch that holds the product.
Piston/base bracket: Located at the bottom of the liner, it rises as the product is depleted.
Pump/damper: Responsible for dispensing the product, housing a sophisticated spring and valve system.
Protective cap: Protects the pump head, preventing accidental depressing and is also a crucial design feature.
How it works:
When the user depresses the pump head, air pressure inside pushes the piston upward, squeezing the product from the liner. Upon release, a spring resets the pump head. Due to the partial vacuum created inside the bottle, the piston, under the influence of external atmospheric pressure, continues to move upward a short distance, preparing for the next application. This entire process ensures zero contact between the product and air.
Applicable products:
Essences: The most classic application area. Essences typically contain the highest concentration of active ingredients and require the protection of a vacuum bottle.
Eye cream: The delicate skin around the eyes requires precise and hygienic packaging.
High-performance creams/lotions: Especially those with anti-aging and whitening properties.
Ampoules/concentrated serums: These products require extremely high preservation requirements and are almost always packaged in vacuum bottles.
Sunscreen: Some high-end sunscreen products are also beginning to use them to ensure the stability of chemical sunscreens.
